The Courage to BE

Sunday Jan 25th a day of wellness, conversation and connection was had! I must say the Courage to Be has to be my best event yet!

The Courage to Be at the Narrative LA

We came together at the Narrative LA, a new wellness and creative studio with a mission to host events that are bringing healing and connection to the black community.

Women came from all over the city to join me and special guest Angela Barnett from 100 Healthy Women. It was great to see so many familiar faces as well as new ones.

The talks, laughter and mindful moments we shared were beautifully grounding., as well as uplifiting!

As the ladies entered the room I could feel their excitement. It felt as if we were all ready for a much needed shift of energy.

With so many attacks on our humanity these days we need spaces and moments where we can be free and learn what we can do to navigate challenging times.

This gathering was that moment.

I’m grateful to have the heart and mind to bring women together like this…for me this is apart if how I Find my Lite.

It’s a lot of work to make it all happen but at the end of the day, we’re all so enriched from the experience.

One of the moments that stood out for me the most was hearing the exhales of the women as I invited them to relax their shoulders.

We hold heavy tension in our shoulders and as women we carry experiences of our own and others. It can feel like you’re in a constant state of clench, flight, fight, and/or fear.

To be able to courageously let that all go collectively and turn inward and focus only on us was a powerful act of resistance.

We need to be able to lean into that more, and I’m glad we got to do that together and be ourselves.

Beautiful. Powerful. Courageous.

If you haven’t already take a deep inhale into the nose and exhale out while you relax your shoulders.
